Smart Communications, Inc. has signed an agreement with the Intramuros Administration and the National Parks Development Committee to boost tourism in the City of Manila by rolling out free Wi-Fi services via Google Station in key public areas inside Intramuros and Rizal Park.

Smart and its tech partner InnoPub Media are also working with IA to roll out interactive tourism markers powered by QR codes and NFC tech as part of its nationwide #DigitalTourism Program.

PLDT-Smart executives led by Smart President Alfredo S. Panlilio and Head of Enterprise Juan Victor I. Hernandez signed the agreement with Department of Tourism - Philippines Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, IA Administrator Atty Guiller B. Asido and NPDC Executive Director Cecille Lorenzana-Romero.
